Tom Dubitsky is a Family Coach at The UCLA Family Commons and an accomplished martial artist who holds the rank of black belt in Kenpo Jiu Jitsu, Shotokan Karate, and American Karate. Chief instructor of Martial Arts at The UCLA Family Commons, Tom has over 10 years experience working with children and families in Boston and Los Angeles. He is committed to giving all students the best martial arts experience possible, and is a certified provider of the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), the Happiest Baby program (Harvey Karp, M.D.) and Guiding Good Choices®. He also runs the highly successful Martial Arts/Transition to Middle School for incoming 6th graders at San Fernando Middle School. Sensei Tom currently lives in Los Angeles, where he remains a loyal Boston sports fan. He’s working on eating more fruits and vegetables and starting his day with a good breakfast. He doesn’t expect ever to give up eating Italian cold-cut sandwiches (in moderation), even though he knows they’re not the healthiest choice.
